Many of us know or have heard a personal story about our courageous healthcare workers risking their lives to save others during this COVID-19 pandemic. Long hours, long days, emotional shifts and stories of triumph and of tribulation – there’s no doubt that they deserve the title “health heroes.”
In an effort to thank the folks on the front lines, Dairy MAX is partnering with Domino’s to provide a special delivery to some of the health heroes working in our local hospitals.
“Our Health and Wellness team works closely with physicians, dietitians, and allied health professionals. We want to recognize the hard work of these professionals and show our appreciation. Pizza is a comfort food that everyone loves – a food that provides nostalgia and joy, a sense of relief in this unprecedented time,” said Lana Frantzen, Ph.D., Vice President of Health and Wellness for Dairy MAX.
In partnership with Domino’s franchises, we are providing 280 pizzas to nourish 1,120 front-line clinicians and housekeeping staff. Additionally, Dairy MAX is providing 495 pizzas to support 1,980 front-line clinicians and housekeeping staff for a total of 775 pizzas at 28 hospitals and clinics, feeding 2,740 clinicians and 360 housekeeping staff.
Julie Hogan, Assistant Vice President of Marketing & Program Development at Rose Medical Center in Denver, Colorado shared her appreciation by saying, “Our house supervisor shared with me this morning that Dairy MAX sent over pizza to our night shift last night at Rose Medical Center! We are so very, very appreciative, especially for night shift, which is an amazing team. It is so kind of you to think of us. Please extend our warmest thanks to your whole organization!”
Just as dairy farmers continue to work tirelessly to provide the nutritious milk for our favorite dairy foods (pizza, anyone?), we recognize the hard work of the medical professionals on the front lines. On behalf of our 900 dairy farm families, we thank all #healthheroes on the front lines!
