Emily Weeks has always loved educating others on the power food has to build healthy bodies – so much that she almost lost her high school job at a supplement store for steering too many customers toward food instead of their products. Today, Emily finds her outlet by partnering with like-minded food brands and organizations on recipe development, nutrition communications and more. Featured on Cosmopolitan, BuzzFeed and HuffPost, she also holds the Texas Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics 2016 Media Award.
Emily graduated with honors from Texas Woman’s University with a Bachelor of Science in nutrition and completed her dietetic internship at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. She previously served as an outpatient registered dietitian at Baylor Scott & White The Heart Hospital – Plano and then as a school wellness consultant for Dairy MAX before choosing to embrace motherhood and blogging full time. She currently lives in Fort Worth, Texas, with her husband, Nick; daughter, Abigail; and schnoodle puppy, Link.

Your food/nutrition mentor growing up:
My dad – he sparked my interest in cooking because he was always whipping up a new dish, grilling outside or tending to vegetables in the garden.
