Dani Sheffield has organized and directed food service operations for the 82 schools of Aldine ISD – including 67,000 students and 750 employees – for 15 years.
Ms. Sheffield earned her Bachelor of Science in education and business along with culinary training. With 10 years’ experience teaching and a total of 28 years in child nutrition programs, she has a passion for marketing child nutrition programs and promoting their impact on students.
Ms. Sheffield has served as president and legislative chair for the Texas Association for School Nutrition. She is also a longtime member of the School Nutrition Association and the Southern Regional Learning Lab for Focus on Food. A ten-year selected member of the Alliance for School Food Service Leadership, Ms. Sheffield has served on advisory boards for Pierre Foods, ConAgra Foods, PepsiCo, General Mills and McCain Foods, and she remains active in legislative issues for child nutrition.
