Jodi Jackson grew up on a cattle ranch in Oklahoma. Earning a degree in animal science, she graduated from Oklahoma State University where she competed on the OSU meats and livestock judging teams. She worked as the editor of a livestock publication before marrying her husband, a second-generation dairyman, David. Today, they own and operate Bentwood Dairy in Waco, Texas, in addition to several other agricultural-related enterprises. Jodi and David are both very hands-on in the business and raised their two children, Emily and Connor, to work on the farm. Jodi manages the Brangus beef cow herd and is in charge of all the marketing and day-to-day operation. She serves as the president of the Texas Brangus Breeders Association as well as volunteers for the International Brangus Auxiliary scholarship committee, her church and Meals on Wheels.
