Dairy MAX Promotes Elizabeth Hurst to Vice President of Communications

GRAND PRAIRIE, TEXAS — Dairy MAX, a dairy council representing 700 dairy farmers, announced the promotion of Elizabeth Hurst to vice president of communications. Hurst previously served as director of corporate communications for more than eight years, where she oversaw all organizational communications including the development and implementation of communications and marketing strategies and ensured all forms of external and internal communications aligned with Dairy MAX’s mission.

Hurst has been instrumental in transforming the organization’s communication strategy. From leading a consumer rebrand to launching innovative programs such as Dairy Up Close and the virtual farm experience, the Dairy Tour 360, her efforts have strengthened trust in dairy and driven impactful results for dairy farmers. 

Hurst’s leadership extends beyond external communications, having reimagined internal communication channels such as an internal employee newsletter, The Scoop, and fostering a culture of transparency, collaboration and connection. Her strategic vision will continue to elevate Dairy MAX as an industry leader, strengthening relationships with consumers and stakeholders alike.

Elizabeth brings a rich background in marketing and public relations, with experience at organizations such as Klyde Warren Park and Uptown Columbus. She holds a Bachelor of Science in recording industry management from Middle Tennessee State University and a Master of Science in organizational leadership from Columbus State University. Her expertise spans strategic branding, public relations and creative storytelling, making her a driving force behind Dairy MAX’s success.

Beyond her professional career, Hurst volunteers her time on the parent-teacher association board of directors for her son’s school, serving as vice president of fundraising. She also spends time volunteering for the St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church as a member of the stewardship committee and serving as president of Daughters of the King. Hurst officially began her role on December 1, 2024.
