McDonald’s is Loving Dairy

Dairy touches 80 percent of McDonald’s menu items. That includes cream for coffee, shakes, milk jugs and the cheese on top of the burgers. Dairy Management Inc. (DMI) has worked with McDonald’s nationally for a number of years and together they have innovated and updated the menu to include more dairy products.

This past summer, Dairy MAX had the opportunity to support McDonald’s on National Ice Cream Day when McDonald’s offered free vanilla cones on July 16 at all restaurants. Neil Hoff, Dairy MAX board president, was quoted in McDonald’s press releases in Dallas, Houston and Oklahoma and talked about how dairy served at McDonald’s is locally sourced and produced by dairy farm families. Dairy MAX branded items were sent to local media outlets. Dairy MAX and McDonald’s even had a little fun with each other on social media promoting the event.
